This role focuses on ensuring quality control, assurance and verification of UAV systems during field operations and flight testing. The engineer will be responsible for inspecting field assemblies, field modifications, software controls, monitoring SOP and safety compliance during flight trials, maintaining performance dashboards, managing FRACAS tool activities and conducting root cause analysis for field incidents. He will participate in field trials as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Quality Control:

• Inspect and verify re/assemblies, modifications, work carried, software's, etc out on UAV systems at field locations as per requirements.
• Ensure compliance with engineering change orders and quality standards.
• Conduct final inspection and provide clearance for flight testing.

Verification & Reporting:

• Execute and inspect functional testing at module and system levels.
• Maintain and update KPIs and dashboards for quality performance tracking.
• Review ATPs, SOPS and ensure alignment with testing criteria.

Flight Testing Support:

• Monitor flight testing activities for procedural and technical compliance.
• Identify and record and report deviations and provide timely feedback to engineering and operations teams.
• Ensure feedbacks and actions are carried out in assemblies and maintain the records.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:

• Lead RCA for field incidents and flight test anomalies.
• Implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (5Why, 8D, 7QC).
• Manage and monitor the FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) tool for incident tracking and resolution.
• Document non-conformances and support resolution.
• Support MRB meetings and disposition activities (e.g., SCRAP, RTV).

Process & Standards Compliance:

• Adhere to AS9100D , SOP and QMS protocols.
• Support internal audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Monitor harness fabrication as per IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

Required experience & skills:

• Due experience in the quality domain of UAV'
• Troubleshooting UAV systems including avionics, harnesses, and interfaces
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve field issues.

• Willingness to travel across multiple Bangalore locations and to customer trial sites as needed
