Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and a proven track record in various testing methodologies, including manual, automation, performance, and API testing. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Node.js backend and React.js frontend applications. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities. Perform thorough manual testing across web and mobile platforms to identify defects and ensure adherence to requirements. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant frameworks and tools for Node.js APIs and React.js UI components. Conduct performance testing to assess application scalability, responsiveness, and stability under various load conditions. Execute API testing using tools like Postman to validate backend functionality, data integrity, and error handling. Collaborate closely with development, product, and other QA team members to understand requirements, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. Document and track defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements review, design, development, testing, and deployment. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance. Strong experience in Manual Testing (test case design, execution, defect reporting). Solid experience in Automation Testing , with the ability to write and maintain automated test scripts. Hands-on experience with Performance Testing tools and methodologies. Proficiency in API Testing using tools such as Postman (or similar like Insomnia, SoapUI). Understanding of testing concepts and methodologies specifically for Node.js backend applications. Experience in testing React-js-based frontend applications. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with specific automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium for UI; Jest, Mocha, Supertest for Node.js). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with database testing (SQL/NoSQL).
