Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview

Hala Campus is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with over 4 years of experience to join our team in Rajkot, Gujarat. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and user experience. You will play a key role in testing, automating, and refining processes to ensure that our products exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate with developers to understand application features and design appropriate test strategies.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and performance testing.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in quality assurance and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of manual and automated testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with web and mobile application testing, including browser compatibility and responsive design.
• Solid understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write SQL queries for testing purposes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automating test cases.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
