QA - Automation Engineer NIRA is a fintech venture on a mission for financial inclusion. Our vision is a world where everyone can get access to credit in a manner that is fast, frictionless and fair. Today, we receive 5000 new loan applications daily from across 4000 cities in India, and we are growing 25% MoM. People reach us at their time of need, and we offer them credit via our app. Money reaches their bank account within 24 hrs of application. We are seeking a talented QA automation engineer to design testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, install databases, and collaborate with the engineering team. Key Responsibilities Identify software weaknesses, edge cases, and potential failure points across systems. Design and implement automated test procedures to validate functionality, performance, and reliability. Review bug reports and logs to highlight problem areas and prevent regressions. Write robust automation scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or Cypress . Collaborate with developers to design and validate backend logic , especially for AWS Lambda + DynamoDB-based microservices. Create and maintain test data and test databases , ensuring proper coverage for business scenarios. Troubleshoot automation software and optimize test execution and CI pipelines. Monitor software quality metrics, log defects, and deliver clear, actionable test reports . Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and release sign-off processes. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering , or related field. 3- 5 years of Real Time experience in Automation Testing with a strong focus on automation in backend and web/mobile environments. Strong programming skills in Java ; experience building automation for Java-based systems. Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or NUnit . Solid understanding of CI tools like Jenkins , TeamCity , or GitHub Actions. Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and S3 . Proficient in Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) and test architecture patterns. Comfortable with API testing tools like Postman , REST Assured , or Swagger. Design and implement automated test procedures to validate data , functionality, performance, and reliability. Detail-oriented with strong debugging, analytical, and documentation skills. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Nice to Have Exposure to fintech, lending, or compliance-focused applications. Working knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB. Experience with load testing and performance profiling tools.
