JavaScript Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  automated test scripts

  using

  WebDriverIO

  with

  JavaScript

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA team members to define test strategies and ensure complete test coverage
• Execute automated test cases, log defects, and drive issue resolution through collaboration with the development team
• Build and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall quality of test automation scripts
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and communicate findings with stakeholders
• Continuously optimize test suites to reduce execution time and improve performance
• Document test plans, processes, and outcomes in detail
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and help instill automation best practices
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous delivery pipeline

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 5+ years

  of professional experience in

  test automation

• Expertise in

  JavaScript

  and hands-on experience with

  WebDriverIO

• Familiarity with test runners like

  Mocha

  or

  Jest

• Strong understanding of

  UI and API test automation

• Experience with version control tools like

  Git

  , and CI/CD tools such as

  Jenkins or GitLab CI

• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Proficient in working in Agile environments
• Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• A team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
