About Our Client
My client is a global leader in designing and manufacturing interconnect solutions that support demanding applications across aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. Known for their technical innovation and reliability, they provide critical components that enable OEMs worldwide to achieve performance, safety, and efficiency in mission-critical systems.The QMS Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing will:
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards
- Act as Management Representative and primary contact for certification bodies, customers, and regulatory audits
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external/regulatory audit activities
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis through closure
- Conduct management reviews and monitor progress toward quality objectives
- Develop, update, and enforce quality procedures, documentation, and records management
- Oversee document control and retention of quality records
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure quality across the product lifecycle
- Support supplier quality and customer quality requirements as needed
- Provide training and promote a culture of quality awareness across the organization
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS and manufacturing processes
- Perform other related duties in support of the company's quality objectives

The Successful Applicant
A successful QMS Engineer, aerospace manufacturing should have:Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or other high-reliability manufacturing environments
- Must have led at least one audit (internal, external, or certification)
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and related regulatory standards
- Local to Salem, MA
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Certified Lead Auditor (AS9100 or ISO 9001)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or BlackBelt certification
- Experience with PPAP and APQP methodologies
- Familiarity with FAA, EASA, or DoD quality requirement
