QA testing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced QA Test Lead with a strong background in the eCommerce domain to lead a team of manual and automation QA engineers. This role requires a leader who is passionate about quality, well-versed in QA best practices, and capable of driving excellence in testing across fast-paced digital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers (manual and automation) across multiple concurrent projects.
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Ensure high test coverage and maintain standards for test case design and execution.
• Drive the setup and optimization of test environments, test data, and automation frameworks.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of automation scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and others.
• Track and report key QA metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect density, test execution progress).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product, DevOps, and project management to ensure quality deliverables.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in QA processes, continuous testing, and quality governance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline QA activities and improve product quality.
• Communicate QA status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including at least 3 years in a QA leadership role.
• Proven experience in eCommerce domain testing (web, mobile, APIs).
• Strong knowledge of manual and automation testing methodologies and tools:
• Automation: Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Karate, etc.
• API Testing: Postman, REST-assured, etc.
• Solid understanding of test case design techniques, optimization strategies, and test data management.
• Familiarity with QA metrics tracking and reporting tools.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests within DevOps workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
