Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
QA Lead – Manual Testing
to lead end-to-end quality assurance activities across web, mobile, and backend applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining QA strategy, leading manual testing teams, ensuring high-quality releases, and collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage manual QA activities across multiple projects
- Define and own QA strategy, test plans, and test approach
- Review and approve test cases, test scenarios, and test execution results
- Coordinate system testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT support
- Ensure requirement traceability and full test coverage
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA / ALM / Azure DevOps
- Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely defect resolution
- Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Scrum Masters
- Lead daily QA stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Mentor and guide QA team members; conduct peer reviews
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices
- Support release planning and go/no-go decisions
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and quality metrics
Required Skills & Qualifications
Manual Testing Expertise:
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing for web and mobile applications
- Excellent understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Expertise in functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing
- Strong experience in test case design techniques (Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning, Decision Tables)
Tools & Technologies
- Defect Tracking & Test Management: JIRA, ALM, TestRail, Azure DevOps
- Browsers & Devices: Cross-browser and cross-device testing
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation (good to have)
- API testing awareness using Postman or similar tools (good to have)
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven experience leading manual QA teams (5–15 members)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience working with onshore/offshore teams
Nice To Have
- Exposure to test automation concepts (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress – understanding level)
- Experience in domain testing (Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, E-commerce, etc.)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release management
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
