Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on

Python QA Automation Engineer

with a strong Capital Markets background to design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions for trading and post-trade applications. The ideal candidate will combine technical automation expertise with solid domain understanding across asset classes and regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, integration, and regression testing frameworks using Python.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks leveraging PyTest, Unittest, Behave, and NumPy.
• Perform REST API testing using Postman, Swagger, or Python request libraries.
• Validate trading data across JSON, XML, and CSV formats; integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Conduct backend validation using logs and feeds; ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Review and analyze Trade Lifecycle workflows, OMS/RMS data flows, and FIX messages (Execution Reports, tags).
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and developers to ensure quality and compliance in deliverables.
• Provide detailed testing reports, defect analysis, and automation coverage metrics.
  

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Python for automation scripting and framework design.
• Experience with functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, request handling, schema validation, and automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other CI/CD tools.
• Basic exposure to database validation (SQL Server / Oracle) and backend QA.
  

Domain Expertise

• In-depth understanding of Capital Markets, including Trade Lifecycle, OMS/RMS, FIX Protocol, and Post-Trade Processing.
• Hands-on testing experience in Equity, Derivatives, and Fixed Income products.
• Exposure to Risk Management systems, Margin Validation, and Regulatory testing (MiFID II, SEBI).
• Experience validating Trade Reconciliation, Allocation, and Settlement workflows.
