Quality Engineer – Automation (Database & ETL Testing)

Experience Required:

7 years in database and ETL testingWe are seeking a skilled

Database Tester

with hands-on experience in

ETL testing

complex SQL queries

, and familiarity with

test management and defect tracking tools

. The candidate should be comfortable validating data pipelines, performing backend testing, and working in collaboration with development and QA teams to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data across systems
Perform end-to-end data validation, reconciliation, and backend testing
Test ETL workflows and ensure data integrity during migration and transformation
Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and QA teams to define testing strategies
Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps or similar tools
Participate in test planning, design, execution, and reporting activities

Mandatory Skills

Strong experience in database testing (3–5 years)
Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries
Experience with ETL testing and data migration projects
Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
Good understanding of data validation and backend QA processes

Good To Have Skills

Experience working with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
Exposure to data warehousing environments
Understanding of Agile or Waterfall testing process
