QA Engineer

Aquera is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst with strong expertise in manual and automation testing, particularly using JavaScript-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience building automation frameworks from scratch, performing end-to-end testing of web applications and APIs, and validating integration flows with a focus on RESTful and SCIM APIs. This role demands a self-motivated and detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automation testing of web applications and integration flows.
• Develop and maintain JavaScript-based automation frameworks (e. g., Cypress, Playwright, etc. ).
• Conduct UI and API testing, ensuring coverage across different browsers and platforms.
• Analyse OpenAPI/Swagger and integration design documents to derive test requirements.
• Design test plans, write test cases and automation scripts, and execute end-to-end testing.
• Validate data consistency across interconnected systems.
• Perform regression, cross-browser, and responsive UI testing.
• Debug automation failures and perform root cause analysis of defects.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e. g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers for smooth releases.
  

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript-based automation tools: Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or JavaScript tools.
• Proficient in debugging JavaScript code and automation test scripts.
• Sound knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile QA methodologies.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools for test automation and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with SCIM, OpenAPI, or SOAP protocols.
• Hands-on experience testing various databases, including DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and others.
• Proficient in working with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its core services.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  

Desired Skills

• Experience with integration platforms or middleware solutions.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
• Background in IAM/IAG system testing.
• Exposure to AI-based testing tools such as Testim, Mabl, or Applitools.
• Experience with SOA and web services testing.
