QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  functional, integration, regression, and sanity testing

  across web applications
• Design, write, and maintain

  test scenarios, test cases, and test data

  based on requirements
• Execute

  API testing

  using tools such as Postman or similar
• Log, track, and manage defects using

  Jira

  , ensuring proper lifecycle management
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Validate fixes and perform re-testing and regression cycles
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide early feedback from a QA perspective
• Ensure adherence to defined QA processes and quality standards

Required Technical Skills

Core QA Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in software testing
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Jira

  for defect tracking and test management
• Experience in

  API testing

  (request/response validation, status codes, payloads)
• Solid experience in

  functional and integration testing

• Proven ability to write clear and comprehensive

  test scenarios and test cases

• Strong experience in

  test data creation and management

Testing Knowledge

• Good understanding of

  software testing life cycle (STLC)

• Well-versed with

  test techniques

  (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, negative testing, etc.)
• Knowledge of different

  testing methodologies

  (Agile, Waterfall basics)

Good-to-Have / Plus Skills

• Exposure to

  test automation

  tools and frameworks
• Experience or interest in

  automation framework creation

• Basic knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
• Understanding of CI/CD integration for automated tests
• Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation
