Role Overview – Python Developer (Project-Based/Flex Role)

Delta Velocity is looking for a Python Developer to support our AI-enabled logistics and supply chain platform. This role focuses on back-end web development, software engineering, and object-oriented programming (OOP). You’ll work on database management, API development, and AI-driven logistics solutions.

Job Description – Junior Python Developer

As a Junior Python Developer, you will be part of our core engineering team, contributing to the backend services that power our AI-driven logistics platform. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career developers (0-2 years of experience) to grow their skills while making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Python
• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews to enhance quality and best practices

Required Skills:

• 0-2 years of experience in software development
• Strong Python programming skills and understanding of OOP principles
• Good knowledge of data structures & algorithms
• Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Basic experience with RESTful API design & development
• Version control proficiency with Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Exposure to automated testing & CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Computer Science/Engineering background (IIT/NIT preferred)
