Purchasing Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team in India. The candidate will be

responsible for sourcing a wide range of mechanical and commercial materials required for the construction and

maintenance of PET bottling plants. He will be based in India.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for mechanical components, spare parts, and commercial
• materials.
• Ensure a proper Supplier Control Plan evaluation during assessment phase and related follow-up, making
• sure a “right-first-time” approach on all contracts will be applied.
• Negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with quality standards
• and company policies.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any quality or delivery issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
• Analyze market trends and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies.
• Ensure that all procured materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control measures to minimize defects and returns.

Professional experience:

• Minimum 5 years or more of experience in purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing or packaging industry
• Ability/Knowledge:
• Experience working in a multinational company.
• Strong understanding of the PET bottling equipment industry and its supply chain.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Quality tools, six-sigma green belt or VDA 6.3 as a plus
• Knowledge of Indian import regulations and customs procedures.
