Purchasing Assistant

As a Purchasing Assistant at VALGOGroup, you will play a vital role in the procurement process, overseeing the acquisition of materials necessary for production. Your responsibilities will include negotiating with vendors for the procurement of steel, bearings, motors, and other essential items. It will be your duty to ensure the timely supply of materials to meet production requirements while maintaining minimum safety stock levels. Your daily tasks will involve scheduling material deliveries, managing orders, and monitoring the supply chain to prevent any disruptions to the production line. Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, you will forecast material needs and facilitate the timely delivery of components to support seamless production processes. To excel in this role, you must possess a keen understanding of risk management to minimize any potential impacts on production schedules. You will be tasked with ensuring that materials are received on time, including hardware, fabrication, casting, hoses, machining parts, and proprietary components. Addressing material shortages promptly and implementing processes to enhance efficiency will be key aspects of your role. Utilizing the Material Requirements Planning system, you will maintain accurate data, manage inventory levels, and monitor the integrity of the Bill of Materials. Your ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, maintain strong relationships, and resolve any concerns that may arise will be crucial to meeting production demands. Fundamental knowledge of materials, gearboxes, motors, bearings, and proficiency in the English language are essential requirements for this position.
