Job Description

Purchasing Assistant / Officer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise and manage

    Purchase Orders (POs)

    in ERP for foundry raw materials, consumables, spares, and subcontract services
  • Follow up with suppliers on

    order confirmations, delivery schedules, and documentation

  • Coordinate with production, stores, and maintenance teams to ensure

    material availability

  • Track inbound materials and support

    GRN and invoice matching

    with finance
  • Maintain accurate

    item masters, pricing, and vendor records

    in ERP
  • Assist in

    vendor evaluation, quotations, and cost comparisons

  • Support compliance with

    quality, safety, and statutory requirements

    for purchased items


Requirements:

  • 2–6 years of experience in

    procurement within a steel foundry or manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of

    ERP systems

    and purchase processes
  • Strong follow-up, coordination, and documentation skills
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or related field
