Purchase Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage the entire purchasing function of the organization — including domestic and international procurement. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, vendor management capabilities, and the ability to handle purchase planning for multiple departments independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement operations for both domestic and international purchases.
• Develop and implement effective purchase strategies aligned with company goals.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, agreements, and contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchase activities, supplier data, and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with departments (Production, Quality, Accounts, etc.) to ensure material requirements are met on time.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards and delivery schedules.
• Manage import documentation, LC arrangements, and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents for international shipments.
• Identify potential new suppliers and continuously improve the vendor base.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and cost control guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate / Post Graduate in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, incoterms, and documentation.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to handle multiple categories and work independently under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in handling Chinese and other Asian suppliers.
• Knowledge of vendor development and cost-reduction strategies.
• Exposure to ISO / Quality Management processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
