Role Overview: As a Purchase Engineer in the Procurement / Supply Chain department of an EPC company located in Noida, your primary responsibility is to handle procurement planning and execution. This involves sourcing materials, equipment, and services based on project BOQ and technical specifications. You will work closely with engineering and project teams to fulfill procurement requirements and manage RFQs for vendors and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities: - Understand project BOQ and technical specifications to source materials, equipment, and services - Coordinate with engineering and project teams for procurement needs and schedules - Create and issue RFQs to vendors and subcontractors - Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and subcontractors - Maintain an approved vendor database with performance records - Achieve cost savings through effective negotiations and bulk procurement - Analyze vendor quotations and prepare cost comparison sheets - Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies - Ensure timely delivery of materials and monitor pending orders - Coordinate with logistics for shipping, customs clearance, and site delivery - Ensure purchased materials meet quality and project specifications - Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation - Generate regular procurement reports for project managers and management Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or relevant engineering stream Preferred Industry Experience: - EPC / Infrastructure / Power / Oil & Gas / Industrial Construction / Process Plant Projects Additional Company Details: In this role, you are expected to have knowledge of EPC industry procurement practices, a strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs, vendor negotiation skills, proficiency in MS Office and ERP (SAP / Oracle), excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Note: This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring in-person work at the specified location.
