Public Relations Manager

Job Description

VARUNÉ Group; a global organisation operating across luxury design, AI-pharma, space-biotech, and professional services, is expanding its presence in India.

We are hiring a Public Relations Manager (India) to work closely with our UK PR team to support brand visibility, media outreach, and communication strategies across India.

This role involves collaborating directly with PR leads in London, identifying India-focused media opportunities, drafting press materials, and strengthening relationships with journalists, editors, and event organisations.

ResponsibilitiesMedia Outreach & Relationship Building

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with India-based journalists, editors, online publications, TV/print media, and industry-specific outlets.
• Coordinate with the UK PR team to align messaging, campaigns, and outreach sequences.
• Pitch stories, interviews, product announcements, and founder features to relevant media.

PR Strategy & Execution

• Identify PR opportunities across India (tech, business, luxury, pharma, innovation, startup ecosystem).
• Support multi-country PR campaigns and integrate India coverage into global strategy.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media notes, founder bios, and communication briefs.
• Track press coverage, maintain media lists, and report campaign performance.

Events, Partnerships & Visibility

• Identify relevant India-based events, summits, conferences, and panels.
• Coordinate speaking opportunities, award submissions, and industry features.
• Liaise with event organisers and support on-ground representation when required.

Content & Communications Support

• Assist in preparing PR assets such as Q&As, briefing documents, interview guides, and feature outlines.
• Support social and digital content alignment with PR strategy.
• Collaborate with design, branding, and content teams for press material creation.

RequirementsEssential

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, media relations, or brand communications.
• Demonstrated experience securing coverage in Indian media (digital, print, or broadcast).
• Strong writing skills with the ability to draft professional communication materials.
• Familiarity with PR tools, media databases, and outreach platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with international teams (primarily UK-based).
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Preferred

• Experience in tech, luxury, healthcare, startup ecosystems, or innovation sectors.
• Existing relationships with journalists/editors in metro cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore).
• Experience supporting founders or leadership teams with communication tasks.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools.
