Job Description

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for building and protecting the school’s public image, strengthening parent and community relationships, managing internal and external communication, and promoting the school’s achievements through media and outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Brand & Reputation Management

  • Develop and maintain a positive image of the school among parents, students, media, and the public.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms (print, digital, events).
  • Handle reputation-sensitive issues and support management during critical situations.

2. Media & Communication

  • Draft and circulate press releases, announcements, newsletters, and official communications.
  • Coordinate with local media for coverage of school events, achievements, and milestones.
  • Act as the official communication link between the school and external stakeholders.

3. Parent & Community Engagement

  • Plan and execute parent meetings, open houses, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Address parent queries related to school communication and perception (in coordination with management).
  • Build long-term relationships with alumni, local bodies, and education partners.

4. Event & Promotion Support

  • Promote school events such as annual days, sports meets, academic results, and special programs.
  • Coordinate PR activities during admissions season to support enrolment.
  • Ensure visibility and branding at all school-hosted events.

5. Digital Presence (in coordination with Marketing Team)

  • Oversee content messaging for social media, website updates, and school publications.
  • Ensure posts, photos, and announcements reflect school values and standards.
  • Monitor online feedback and public sentiment about the school.

6. Internal Communication

  • Support smooth communication between management, staff, parents, and students.
  • Assist HR and administration with announcements, circulars, and institutional messaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media, or related field
  • Prior experience in educational institutions, media, or corporate PR preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
