Property Accountant (Development Accountant)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Development Accounting

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for development projects.
  • Maintain general ledgers and ensure accurate monthly and year-end closing.
  • Handle draw accounting, including preparation and tracking of draw requests.
  • Payables & Cash Management

  • Process and approve payables, wire requests, and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Run aging reports, monitor outstanding payables, and follow up with vendors.
  • Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process invoices, review supporting documentation, and ensure proper coding and approvals.
  • Approve payables, set up wire requests, and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Run aging reports and follow up with vendors for outstanding balances.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Record rent and other receivables accurately and on time.
  • Monitor tenant ledgers, reconcile payments, and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Generate AR aging reports and work with property managers to reduce delinquencies.
  • Operational Support

  • Collaborate with U.S. cross-functional teams to address accounting queries.
  • Provide insights and support for property-related decision-making.


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in U.S. property management (development focus preferred).
  • Software Skills:

    Proficiency in

    Yardi

    .
  • Technical Skills:

    Advanced

    Excel

    skills for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge Areas:

    Development accounting, draw accounting, financial statements, wire transfers, payables, and payroll processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with U.S. stakeholders.
