Job Description

Position Overview

A Project Sales Engineer is responsible for driving project-based sales by combining technical expertise with strong business development skills. The role involves identifying project opportunities, providing technical solutions, preparing proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities in targeted industries.
  • Meet architects, consultants, contractors, builders, and end clients.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitors, and project pipelines.

2. Technical Support & Solution Design

  • Understand client requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
  • Prepare technical submissions, BOQ, drawings, and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and site assessments.

3. Sales & Proposal Management

  • Prepare and submit commercial offers, quotations, and tender documents.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with clients and partners.
  • Track and follow up on proposals to convert leads into confirmed orders.

4. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with engineering, design, and project execution teams to ensure correct delivery.
  • Attend site meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure timely submission of documents (submittals, approvals, invoices, etc.).

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with key clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide after-sales technical support when needed.
  • Resolve customer queries and ensure high satisfaction levels.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and project status.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports for management review.
  • Update CRM systems with leads, opportunities, and progress.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of engineering systems (MEP, water systems, industrial equipment, swimming pool industry).
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred).

Sales & Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with consultants, architects, and contractors.
  • Project management and time-management abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with customer focus.

Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in technical sales, project sales, MEP equipment sales, or industrial/engineering products.
  • Experience in tendering, BOQ preparation, and working with consultants is a plus.

Pay: ₹11,988.86 - ₹52,344.67 per month
