Overview
The Project Manager for Residential Projects in Nungambakkam plays a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of residential construction projects. They are responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to final completion and handover. The Project Manager is a key liaison between internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage residential construction projects from inception to completion
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders
- Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Implement and maintain effective project communication and documentation
- Resolve project-related conflicts and issues in a proactive and professional manner
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to plans
- Prepare and present regular project reports to management and clients
- Participate in the project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes
- Ensure timely project delivery and handover, meeting all quality and safety standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices
- Manage and motivate project team members to achieve project goals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in residential construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) is a plus
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Nungambakkam
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Keen attention to detail and quality
- Flexibility to work on-site and manage project teams effectively
Candidates should have minimum 20 years of experience in Residential Projects.
Work Location: Nungambakkam ,Chennai.
