Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of road and irrigation projects. The role involves managing resources, budgets, timelines, and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with client requirements. The Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure successful completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement detailed project execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure timely mobilization of manpower, plant, and materials to meet project timelines.
  • Monitor progress against contractual milestones and implement corrective measures.
  • Technical & Site Management
  • Supervise construction activities of roads, highways, culverts, canals, dams, and related irrigation structures.
  • Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, IRC codes, MORTH guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical/operational issues.
  • Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Act as the key representative of the company for clients, consultants, and government authorities.
  • Attend review meetings and provide timely project updates.
  • Ensure approvals, clearances, and coordination with statutory bodies.
  • Financial & Contract Management
  • Control project costs and ensure completion within approved budgets.
  • Verify subcontractor/vendor bills, claims, and variations.
  • Support in preparation of RA bills and coordinate with accounts for timely payments.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, supervisors, and support staff.
  • Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide mentorship.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across teams.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits, claims, and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of road and irrigation construction techniques.
  • Expertise in project planning, scheduling (Primavera/MS Project), and resource management.
  • Good understanding of contracts, billing, and claims management.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards in construction.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 15–20 years of experience in construction with at least 7–10 years in road and irrigation projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale EPC/Infrastructure projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
