Project

Mineral Resources Mapping for state of Odisha, which is being implemented by OMC for the Govt of Odisha. The scope of project covers from baseline data generation (including Airborne Surveys) to resources modeling (G2 Exploration) for various minerals in the state of Odisha.

Role Description

The position of Project Manager is for MRM Project of Odisha. Project Manager will be responsible for achieving the objectives of the project which are following (but not limited)

· Legacy Data and Reports Review and Gap analysis

· Identification of Area's of Interest (Prospects), Ground follow-up

· Aero geophysical Survey (Mag, EM, Radiometric) and identification of prospective blocks from new set of data

PM will be leading a team of experienced Geologists, Geophysicist and GIS expert. The PM will have access to pool of National and International experts to be effectively utilized to achieve the goals at par with world standards

PM will be responsible for Client Management and Team Management

Qualifications: M.Sc./MSc. (Tech)/ M. Tech in Geology/Applied Geology

Experience: 12+ years of professional experience in:

· Designing, supervision and management of exploration projects and evaluation programs involving minerals such as base metals, iron ore, manganese, chromite.

· Co-ordination with various exploration agencies for the historical data, its integration and interpretation for the identification of mineral potential targets

· Organize and plan on-site exploration activities including geological mapping, drilling and sampling programmes

· Plan and design drilling programmes

· Geostatistical analysis of the geological data

· Preparation of SOPs/work instructions for field exploration activities

Competency

· Geological interpretation on scale 1:50,000 or more (e.g. 1:10,000)

• Extensive knowledge of exploratory drill hole planning, supervision and sampling
• QA/QC of surveying, sampling, assaying and reporting
• Hands on experience of geology and resource modelling software such as Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine etc. and GIS software such as ArcGIS, MapInfo

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
