Job Description

The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end coordination, planning, and execution of the Azure APIM migration program. The role involves managing consumer onboarding, testing, scheduling, deployment governance, and cross-functional communication across architecture, security, DevOps, and consumer application teams. The PM ensures smooth migration of pre-developed APIs using established CI/CD pipelines and APIM infrastructure.


Location: Remote

Work hours: Required to support until 12 noon CST (or to be aligned with UK timings)


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive overall program planning, sprint planning, roadmap definition, and migration scheduling for 119+ APIs across multiple consumers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between offshore team, platform teams, and API consumers.
  • Coordinate onboarding sessions for consumers, track testing readiness, and manage dependencies, risks, and cross-team alignments.
  • Maintain detailed trackers: API migration matrices, consumer readiness, issue logs, and release plans.
  • Oversee testing progress (integration, regression, UAT) and ensure consumer sign-offs.
  • Manage deployments using existing CI/CD pipelines; coordinate release windows and post-deployment validations.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly status reports, dashboards, RAID logs, and stakeholder communication updates.
  • Ensure compliance with API security, architecture guidelines, and operational standards.
  • Drive governance ceremonies including daily stand-ups, weekly syncs, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Escalate roadblocks promptly and ensure timely resolutions to keep migration on schedule.


Required Skills & Experience
  • 10–15 years of IT delivery experience, with 3+ years in API integration or API gateway (Azure APIM preferred).
  • Strong understanding of API lifecycle, API consumer engagement, testing cycles, and release management.
  • Experience running projects with multi-team dependencies and cross-org stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, API documentation (OpenAPI), and migration workflows.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage RAID logs, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Experience working with life sciences clients, understanding enterprise integration systems, GxP regulations


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with TIBCO → APIM or similar API gateway migration projects.
  • Understanding of OAuth, certificates, security policies, throttling, caching, and routing rules.
  • Experience working with global teams and supporting US time zones.
  • PMP, CSM, or Azure certifications (nice to have).
