The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to the power sector. Preferable 220 kV AIS/GIS. They will lead a team of professionals to ensure successful project planning, execution, and completion within defined timelines and budgets. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, engineers, contractors and government agencies to ensure project deliverables meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of the power sector, renewable energy technologies, and solar project development.
1. Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans including objectives, scope, timelines and resource allocation. Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments and risk analysis to identify potential project challenges and mitigation strategies. Define specific and achievable project milestones and assigning responsibilities ensures accountability with specific deadlines as per milestone and helps in tracking progress effectively. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to define project requirements and specifications.
2. Project Execution and Monitoring:
Coordinate and manage project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints. Oversee project procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and material procurement. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary. Conduct regular project status meetings with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues.
3. Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed effectively. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring a cohesive project approach.
4. Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations and safety guidelines. Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits, licenses and approvals. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes related to the power sector, renewable energy and solar projects.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Assign tasks, set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members. Identify training and development needs and organize relevant workshops or training programs to enhance team skills.
