Job Title: Project Coordinator – Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Location: Haridwar, Uttarakhand Organization Type: Non-Profit Organization (NPO) Reporting To: Program Project Head Employment Type: Full-Time / Contractual Job Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the overall implementation of the project, ensuring smooth coordination among team members and alignment with project goals. They monitor and evaluate activities, prepare progress reports for stakeholders, and facilitate communication between the organization, government agencies, and community leaders. Additionally, the coordinator resolves operational challenges and supports team members in achieving objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Program Coordination & Implementation: o Plan and manage day-to-day operations of MMUs as per the deployment schedule. o Coordinate with doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth functioning of field activities. o Monitor adherence to protocols, timelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 2. Team Supervision & Capacity Building: o Supervise MMU teams and address any operational challenges. o Organize regular team meetings, performance reviews, and on-the-job support. o Identify training needs and facilitate capacity-building sessions. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: o Liaise with government health departments, local authorities, and community leaders for field coordination and permissions. o Represent the organization in district- or block-level health forums and review meetings. 4. Monitoring & Reporting: o Track service delivery data (patients treated, tests conducted, awareness sessions, etc.) and ensure timely reporting. o Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and support donor reporting as needed. o Identify operational gaps and suggest process improvements. 5. Administrative & Logistical Support: o Ensure availability of medicines, consumables, and equipment in coordination with the logistics team. o Monitor MMU vehicle movement, fuel usage, and maintenance needs. o Ensure documentation and compliance related to staff attendance, leaves, and other field-related expenses. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Graduate in Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in field-based project implementation, preferably in health programs or mobile health units. Language Skills: Proficiency in local language; working knowledge of Hindi and English is essential. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), email, and data entry systems. Key Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to community health and outreach in rural/underserved areas. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Working Conditions: Field-intensive role with regular travel across rural/remote project areas. May require flexible working hours to meet project needs. Engagement with community settings and coordination with health authorities.
