Job Description

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and controlling all activities related to road construction projects, ensuring that work is executed as per contract specifications, drawings, safety norms, quality standards, and within budgeted timelines. This role requires extensive experience in road and highway construction projects, with strong leadership and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination
  • Assist in developing project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, site execution, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and report deviations with corrective action plans.
  • Execution & Monitoring
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities of road, highways, culverts, bridges, and related structures.
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, or cost overruns and take preventive measures.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for project deliverables.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports, drawings, and approvals to relevant authorities.
  • Act as a central point of contact between management and site teams.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure all project-related documentation, bills, and reports are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory, contractual, and environmental regulations.
  • Support project audits and maintain proper records for claims/variations.
  • Team Leadership & Support
  • Supervise and guide site engineers, supervisors, and other staff.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and provide technical guidance.
  • Encourage adherence to safety and quality standards across teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of road and highway construction techniques, materials, and machinery.
  • Excellent project coordination, scheduling, and monitoring skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera and MS Office.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with IRC codes, MORTH specifications, and contract management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 15–20 years of experience in road/highway projects, with at least 5+ years in a project coordination or managerial role.
  • Experience with EPC/PPP/NHAI/State Highway projects will be highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
