Project Controls Engineer (Power)

Job Overview :

A Project Controls Engineer plays a vital role in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Successful Project Controls Engineer display strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and written/oral communication skills. They should be detail-oriented team members who can consistently meet deadlines and possess the ability to work independently as needed. Computer and interpersonal skills are necessary. Project Controls Engineer must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse workgroup of stakes holders.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Understand EPC scope of work and identify the project deliverables, milestones, and targets
• Collaborate with US counterparts, project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather project data and ensure accurate reporting.
• Create integrated project schedule in P6, perform critical path reviews, identify schedule risks.
• Resource loading P6 schedule.
• Create various schedule reports and determine the appropriate reporting format.
• Should have good knowledge of engineering workflow and interdisciplinary dependencies.
• Analyze project control reports, present findings, and provide recommendations to the project team.
• Progress monitoring of projects using earned value technique.
• Monitoring & controlling of project budget.
• Knowledge about Ecosys or other Cost management tools.
• Monitor and control project costs, including budget development, cost forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Managing the Change Management System.
• Create staffing plan and forecasting.
• Preparation of Weekly / Monthly Project Report, Backlog analysis.
• Identify and assess project risks and uncertainties.
• Must have detailed understanding of following.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Full time
• Experience: 5 – 10 yrs.
• Must have work experience with any of these project types:-
• Power Generation Projects
• Oil & Gas Projects
• Refinery or Petrochemical project
• LNG Projects
• Fertilizer project
• Water Treatment Project
