Job Description

Role Overview: Join Barclays as a Project CoE - AVP to support the end-to-end journey for Internally Generated Software (IGS) capitalization in Partnership with FBPs, Business Managers, and Central reporting functions. At Barclays, you will not just anticipate the future - you will be creating it. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders involved in the IGS process. - Ensure accurate and reliable reporting of all IGS capitalization decisions made. - Support the management of all identified risks for the IGS capitalization function. - Support ad hoc strategy initiatives as they arise. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree (or equivalent) in accounting, Finance, or a related field. - CA/CS/CWA/CFA/CPA/MBA/Post-graduate. - Very strong Excel & PowerPoint skills. - Very strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator. - Understanding of Barclays processes & system (especially Asher, FAR). - Relevant experience in accounting, reporting, controls. - Experience in a shared services or corporate accounting environment is an advantage. - Evidence of understanding of Project Accounting and the requirements around the capitalization of Internally Generated Software. Company Details: The purpose of the role is to provide financial expertise and support to specific business units or departments within the organization, act as a liaison between the finance function and various business units, and help bridge the gap between financial data and business decisions. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of business unit financial strategies, plans, and budgets, cross-functional collaboration, identification of opportunities for financial process improvements, and analysis and presentation of financial data to provide insights into business performance. This role is based in Gurugram & Noida office.
