Job Description

A project coordinator in an NGO is responsible for supporting project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. They handle administrative tasks, facilitate communication, and track project progress, often serving as a key point of contact for team members and stakeholders. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the role:Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Assisting project managers in developing project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Coordinating project activities and ensuring adherence to established timelines and deliverables.
  • Managing project-related paperwork, including proposals, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Organizing logistics and coordinating resources for project activities.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Facilitating communication between project managers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Providing regular updates on project progress and potential issues to relevant parties.
  • Organizing and leading meetings, taking minutes, and disseminating information.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Tracking project progress against established goals and timelines.
  • Identifying potential risks and issues and reporting them to the project manager.
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, databases, and tracking systems.
  • Resource Management:
  • Ensuring that team members have the necessary resources and support to complete their tasks.
  • Monitoring project budgets and expenses, and reporting on financial status.
  • Assisting with the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Other Duties:
  • Participating in project design meetings and contributing to problem-solving.
  • Contributing to the development of training materials and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Representing the organization in relevant forums and meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organizational Skills:Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal Skills:Ability to build rapport with team members and stakeholders, and work effectively as part of a team.

  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana).
  • Experience:Prior experience in project coordination or a related field, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, project management, or social sciences.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
