Program Officer

Job Context

Hosur location

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment of community needs for project identification, actionable proposals & approvals.
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations, coordination, and implementation of the program activities.
• Liaise with NGOs, government agencies, and community groups for collaborative CSR efforts
• Collect field data to prepare progress reports, budgets, case studies, success stories, and other documentation for internal/external stakeholders, audits, statutory reporting, and impact assessment.
• Coordinate with internal departments for project execution.
• Facilitate community contribution & innovation in community development projects
• Strong understanding of community development, CSR frameworks, standards and regulations, including emerging trends and industry best practices.
• To carry out and monitor infrastructure, education, health, skill development, and sustainability-related projects in the location.
• Perform any other tasks assigned and provide hands-on support as needed.

Qualifications and experience

• Graduation (preferably a bachelor's in social work/B.A. sociology)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in any NGO of repute.

Other Requirements

• Good communication skills in English and Tamil
• Proficiency in MS-Office package and collection of data as per given formats
• Must be the owner of a 2-wheeler with a valid driving license and be willing to use the same for official travel on a reimbursement basis.
