Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading a team of Team Leads, engineers, and designers to guide and support in various stages of automotive interior/exterior trims and seating system components. Your role will involve concept design, engineering feasibility, validation, production build, launch, and post-launch support to ensure project milestones are met. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and guide the team in achieving project milestones for components and assemblies, including make and buy discussions, cost, weight, and quality balancing. - Manage design detailing, release activities, validation plan, tooling feasibility, tooling evaluation, initial quality check, and tool sign-off for vehicle programs related to interior/exterior trims. - Utilize advanced knowledge in automotive interior/exterior trims and seating system components. - Demonstrate expertise in design, engineering, and validation of interior/exterior trims/seating, with experience in at least two complete vehicle design, engineering, and development cycles. - Possess awareness of automotive regulations, plastic components design, engineering, craftsmanship, and product quality. - Have a detailed understanding of mechanism parts in the automotive domain and the ability to estimate resource and skill set requirements. - Utilize CATIA and JT for hands-on design review, with knowledge of PLM for BOM management. - Apply expertise in design and engineering processes such as DFMEA, DVP, DFM, DFA, and DFS. - Stay updated on market trends in technology and performance attributes to remain competitive. - Manage and prioritize multiple projects, work well under pressure, and adjust work against tight deadlines. - Plan, schedule, and monitor resources for design, engineering, and release activities to meet project milestones. - Lead and mentor the team, coordinate with internal and external agencies, suppliers, and stakeholders for design, development, and vehicle launch. - Provide post-vehicle launch engineering support, resolve manufacturing, quality, weight, and cost reduction activities, and participate in improvement initiatives. - Develop templates and specification tools for customizing estimation, resource planning, and other engineering-related activities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's in Engineering with over 20 years of experience in automotive interior/exterior trims and seating systems. - Strong expertise in automotive design, engineering, and validation processes. - Proficiency in CATIA, JT, PLM, and other relevant tools. - Knowledge of automotive regulations, material selection, plastics assembly, and joining technology. - Experience in leading teams, managing projects, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.,
