Role & responsibilities: Organizational interfaces Direct Manager - Engineering group manager Direct Manager - Design Leader or Engineering Project Manager Functional Manager - None Direct Report - Design leader, EPM, CAE engineer, validation engineer Organizational interfaces / Communication & Cooperation Competences requirements Knowledge / Qualification - bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experiences. Good command of English Previous Experience (If relevant) Key technical competencies - Basic plastic rules, basic mechanicals rules, able to build and check product under CAD software system; able to lead CAD 3D and 2D activities. Key behavioural competencies (on top of PO Group competencies) Other requirements Missions Missions - 1. Constructs parts and products using CAD software, in accordance with POAE methodology and customer specifications. 2. Manages CAD files, and exchanges with suppliers and customers. KPI and/or main deliverables Activities Designs and draws technical solutions (sketches, sections, partial models, global models, overall dimensions, tooling/assembly kinematics) Generates the CAD files in accordance with POAE CAD methodology and CAD specifications of both customer and POAE. Verifies CAD file quality by utilizing specific customer file checkers used by customer tools to check CAD file quality. Manages CAD files flow. Names the CAD files in TDM in accordance with the rules defined by POAE. Updates parts attributes in PDM (volume, theoretical weight, projected area, painted area). Updates models based on technical feasibility studies. Uses the PO Design Standard library, TESIS, during the design & construction of CAD models, and provides feedback to EPM and Design Leader. Performs various checks on his 3D models to ensure good quality of the final product (interferences by DMU checks, A-surface analysis of visible parts) Works closely with EPM / Design Leader and extended teams (Tooling Expert Department, CAE Engineer, Moldflow Engineer, etc). Conversant with Vehicle Architecture, Vehicle Aggregate Groups, Sub- Groups, Systems and Sub- Systems. Good experience in working with styling and design teams to translate aesthetic concepts into functional designs. Strong problem-solving abilities, project management and communication skills. Proficient in deciding manufacturing feasibility, assembly and service feasibility. Designing and developing exterior trim components such as Bumpers, grilles, cladding, functional trims etc. Understanding the geometric requirements within the context of the vehicle as defined by engineering requirements. Developing CAD Design in Catia based on Engineering directions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the design meets the the functional and manufacturing requirements. Participating in design reviews to gather feedback and make necessary revisions. Populating the Design in Vehicle context and attach to Digital vehicle structure. Managing the release process for chassis components and change management. Applying GD &T for completed designs. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance design.
