Key Skills: Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop exterior trim components such as:
Bumpers & Grills
Rocker panels
Body side moldings
Pillar garnishes
Roof rails
Spoilers
Mirror housings
Door handles & seals
Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using UGNX/CATIA
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Styling, Body-in-White, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.
Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and cost targets.
Participate in DFMEA, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Conduct packaging studies and resolve interface issues with adjacent parts.
Support prototype builds, testing, and issue resolution.
Maintain product documentation and BOMs in PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA).
Support engineering change management (ECR, ECN).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
38 years of experience in automotive exterior trims design.
Proficient in UGNX/CATIA (Part Design, Assembly, Surface Design, Drafting).
Understanding of DFM/DFA, material selection, and joining technologies.
Familiarity with industry standards (OEM or Tier-1).
Good communication and documentation skills.
