Role & responsibilities: Develop cable routing layouts, grounding/earthing layouts, and lighting systems for boiler houses and power plants. Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, IEEE standards and statutory requirements (CEIG, CEA, IBR-related electrical compliance). Review vendor documents for motors, starters, switchgear, transformers, cables, panels, and field instruments . Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation & control, and civil engineering teams for integrated project execution. Support erection, testing, and commissioning activities. Handle assigned projects independently, ensuring deliverable quality and schedule adherence. Skills Essential : Proficiency in electrical design tools (AutoCAD/EPLAN). Strong knowledge of power distribution, grounding, and protection systems. Ability to independently prepare and review design deliverables. Desirable : Knowledge of ETAP for load flow/short circuit studies. Experience with vendor evaluation and technical bid analysis. Preferred : Familiarity with digital engineering practices (3D models, Smart Plant Electrical). Experience with DCS/PLC wiring and instrumentation interfaces.
Job Role: As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the Detail Engineering Department in preparing and reviewing electrical designs for industrial and utility boilers. You will be responsible for developing deliverables under the guidance of senior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review electrical design deliverables: single-line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, cable sizing, interconnection diagrams, and equipment specifications. Assist in the design and layout of power distribution systems (MCC, PCC, switchgear, transformers, UPS, drives, etc.) for boiler auxiliaries (fans, pumps, conveyors, etc.). Support vendor document reviews and participate in basic engineering coordination with other disciplines. Support erection and commissioning teams with documentation and clarifications. Desired Candidate profile: Ideally, an applicant shall possess the following skills and experience in essentials: Essential: Electrical design fundamentals (SLDs, cable sizing, power/control drawings). Knowledge of AutoCAD/EPLAN or similar tools. Understanding of motor control systems, grounding, and protection basics. Desirable: Knowledge of IS/IEC/IEEE codes.
