Support and assist the Head Of the Department in Detail Engineering design. Lead, manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of waste heat recovery boiler designs, more particularly for Boilers applications in process plants like Sulphuric Acid Plants or other chemical plants etc.
Thermal and mechanical design: Oversee the core thermal design including heat transfer calculations and temperature profiles and the mechanical design of all pressure and non-pressure parts.
Technical specifications: Guide the creation of technical proposals data sheets and general arrangement drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and bill of materials.
Compliance and standards: Ensure all design comply with international codes and standards such as ASME section I (Power Boilers), ASME section VIII (Pressure Vessels), Indian boiler regulations (IBR), and other relevant codes.
Cross Functional collaboration: coordinate with other internal departments, including projects management, procurement, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure smooth project execution.
Clint and vendor relations: Act as a key technical liaison with clients, consultants, and vendors to address technical specification and project
requirements.
Continuous improvement and innovation: Drive product development and design innovation and implement continuous improvement principles within the engineering team.
Implement design automation and CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PV Elite, CAESAR II, etc.).
Troubleshooting and support: Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting issues.
