Professor / Associate Professor - Computer Science & Engineering

The Professor / Associate Professor in Computer Science & Engineering is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, guiding students, and contributing to academic leadership within the department. The role involves curriculum development, scholarly research, student mentoring, and service to the institution and professional community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Academic Delivery: Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Computer Science & Engineering.
• Develop and update course content in line with current industry trends and academic standards.
• Employ innovative teaching methods, including project-based and experiential learning.
• Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and continuous assessment.
• Research & Scholarly ActivitiesConduct independent and collaborative research in specialized areas of Computer Science & Engineering.
• Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Secure research grants and funding from national and international agencies.
• Supervise PhD, postgraduate, and undergraduate research projects.
• Curriculum & Program DevelopmentContribute to the design, review, and enhancement of curricula and academic programs.
• Align programs with accreditation requirements and industry needs.
• Introduce emerging technologies and interdisciplinary approaches into coursework.
• Student Mentoring & AdvisingProvide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Guide students in research, internships, competitions, and career development.
• Support student innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional growth.
• Academic Leadership & ServiceParticipate in departmental, faculty, and institutional committees.
• Assist in academic administration and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to accreditation, rankings, and institutional development initiatives.
• Engage in outreach, consultancy, and industry collaboration where applicable.
• QualificationsEducational RequirementsPhD in Computer Science & Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.

Experience

Associate Professor:

• Minimum relevant teaching/research experience as per regulatory or institutional norms.
• Proven record of quality publications and research contributions.

Professor:

• Significant teaching, research, and academic leadership experience.
• Strong publication record with high-impact research and funded projects.
