This role involves monitoring production performance, managing staff, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Production Oversight:** - Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and targets. - Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues or equipment malfunctions promptly. 2. **Staff Management:** - Lead, train, and evaluate production staff, including setting performance goals and providing feedback. - Schedule shifts and manage workforce allocation to meet production demands. - Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. 3. **Quality Control:** - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product standards are consistently met. - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues. 4. **Safety and Compliance:** - Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA or other relevant safety regulations. - Conduct safety training and drills to minimize workplace hazards and ensure a safe working environment. 5. **Continuous Improvement:** - Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains. - Implement lean manufacturing techniques and best practices to enhance production performance. 6. **Reporting and Documentation:** - Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and inventory levels. - Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and key metrics. 7. **Coordination and Communication:** - Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, logistics, quality assurance) to ensure smooth production operations. - Communicate production status, issues, and updates effectively to management and team members. **Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - **Experience:** Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with prior supervisory experience preferred. - **Skills:** - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. - Proficiency in using production management software and tools. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Work Environment:** - This role typically requires working in a manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to machinery and equipment.
