### Job Overview The President - Plant Operations is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the manufacturing plant. This role encompasses a wide range of functions including production, procurement, planning, packing, dispatch, logistics, administration, and ensuring the plant's overall efficiency and profitability . The incumbent will drive operational excellence, optimize resource utilization, and deliver high-quality products while adhering to food safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the plant's strategic plan aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and productivity. Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and standards. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency within the plant. Operational Excellence: Responsible for the entire plant operations, including production, procurement, planning, and administration. Optimize production planning and scheduling to maximize output and minimize costs. Ensure efficient utilization of resources (manpower, machinery, materials) to achieve operational targets. Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to streamline processes. Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve operational efficiency. Procurement and Supply Chain: Oversee the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality. Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels. Manage supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and food safety regulations. Implement quality control measures throughout the production process. Conduct regular quality audits and take corrective actions as needed. People Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team across all plant functions. Build a strong talent pipeline through effective recruitment, training, and development. Foster a positive and engaged work environment. Financial Management: Develop and manage the plant's budget. Monitor and control operational expenses to achieve profitability targets. Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications and Experience: Proven track record of 10-15 years in leading plant operations in the FMCG food processing industry. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , supply chain management, and quality systems. Experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field will be preferable. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Remuneration and other benefits will be commensurate with experience & qualification at par with best in Industry.
