Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (EITSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Eurofins and functions as a Global Software Delivery Center exclusively catering to Eurofins Global IT business needs. The code shipped out of EITSI impacts the global network of Eurofins labs and services.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION TITLE: Product Sustenance Engineer (L2 Application Support / Dev Ops Support)
WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore – India

SHIFT: Rotational (24/5 and weekend on call support)
SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:
Eurofins Scientific is seeking eESB Platform Engineer to become a valued member of our successful team. He is responsible for supporting internal IT application users with eESB application uptime and reqeusts with the capability to support cloud and on-premise application services. This may require interaction with potential or current users of our organisation across the globe. This person will participate as an effective member of a passionate, highly skilled, collaborative team that is a backbone of IT solutions delivered POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
Responsibilities:

• The position is for an operational (run) group. Support engineers will respond to incidents and as well as handle support requests for a variety of technologies related to eESB (Eurofins Enterprise Service Bus ) services over cloud architecture
  Support engineers will also have project responsibilities (i.e. executing on the improvements and automation identified by them or others on the team) and will own small projects within their respective area.
• 
  As a queue owner, support engineers will be responsible for the general health of the queue (resolving tickets, identifying trends, finding the technical cause of problems) as well as recommending and implementing process / system changes to eliminate incoming workload, optimizing team process, diagnosing problems to the root cause and resolving them, and escalating where appropriate.
• Participation in a team 24×5 weekly rotation is part of the role. More extended off-shift time may be needed but these would be planned in advance, and generally associated with project work where maintenance windows need to be observed.
  
• This is not an L2 support position. The candidate will need a deep understanding and technical expertise to apply in a hands on environment.
  
• While not a hard requirement, given the overall direction of IT infrastructure is to transition workloads to the cloud, experience with Azure, AWS, and cloud development is a plus.

Must Have:

• 4-6 years experience in Application Support (L2 level)
  
• ITIL framework knowledge
  
• Strong in Unix/Linux, Java fundamentals, incident, monitoring, problem solving
  
• Working experience with Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  
• Good oral and written communication skills
  
• Willingness to learn and perform in a small team

Technical Skills

• Experience in message-oriented Middleware like Active MQ or MSMQ would be an added advantage
  
• Knowledge of DevOps framework CICD pipeline
  
• Performance monitoring on SolarWinds. Reporting tools, Service Now, Grafana reporting
  
• Knowledge on Version control tools like GIT Hub
  
Shell scripting

Application/Domain:

• Middleware technologies

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BE / MCA, or any other equivalent degree in Computer Science
