Job Description

Varthana is looking for a Product Manager who will be driving all cross-selling activities for all the beyond loan products. The incumbent will be responsible for generating revenue for the respective region and ensuring that the team is interacting with schools, understanding their requirements, effectively serving the company's cross-sell solutions, and minimizing the sales costs of the solution providers. The candidate will also be servicing all the customer requirements and building a long-lasting relationship with them.


Key Role Deliverables

  • Market Research & Product Strategy:

    Conducting in-depth market research to benchmark product offerings and process flows against competitors, and leveraging these insights to define a clear product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plan for new lending solutions that align with customer needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams:

    Working closely with Sales, Credit, Collections, Risk, and other teams to execute new initiatives and drive product development that meets business objectives.
  • Drive Partnerships:

    Building a solid relationship with the clients, partners and engaging with them for creating specific products/schemes for customers.
  • Customer and Market Insight:

    Gathering market and customer insights to continuously refine product offerings, improve experience, and address emerging needs.
  • Business Improvements:

    Implementing projects to improve processes in order to ease business operations and increase the customer experience
  • Distribution Management:

    Driving Cross-sell product distribution through the Sales team
  • Marketing Management:

    Executing marketing initiatives for specific target audiences and increasing campaign conversion rates through the use of analytics.


Preferred Profile


  • Minimum Education Qualification: Post Graduation from a recognized B-School
  • 8-10 years of experience in Retail / SME Sales
  • Influential communication skills in English and local languages
  • Experience in the Education Industry with Sales and Cross sell would be an added advantage
  • Self-motivated, passionate about the domain, eager to learn new things, and takes the initiative & challenges
  • Willingness and ability to travel in the assigned area
