As a Product Manager, you will shape the roadmap and user experience for KAI’s GenAI tooling stack-driving innovation in annotation systems, data pipelines, and AI-assisted operations optimization.

Role Overview

The Product Manager for GenAI Tooling will define, prioritize, and deliver products that improve the efficiency, scalability, and intelligence of KAI’s data operations. You will work closely with engineering, AI research, and operations teams to build products that streamline annotation workflows, integrate human-in-the-loop automation, and optimize data flow from ingestion to evaluation. Your role will bridge user needs (annotators, quality teams, model trainers) and business goals (scalability, cost, accuracy).

Key Responsibilities

• Define product vision and roadmap for KAI’s GenAI tooling stack, covering annotation tools, data pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
• Gather requirements from operations, AI, and customer teams to translate them into product features and technical specifications.
• Prioritize features and sprints based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deliver intuitive, scalable, and automation-ready annotation experiences.
• Integrate LLM- and AI-assisted tooling for quality control, pre-labeling, active learning, and data validation.
• Work with Applied AI Engineers to incorporate model feedback loops and analytics dashboards for operational intelligence.
• Define KPIs for product success—time-to-annotate, throughput, cost per unit, and accuracy metrics—and track progress through dashboards.
• Develop clear documentation, PRDs, and release notes for internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with marketing and business teams to ensure product-market fit and alignment with KAI’s GenAI platform strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 3–5 years of product management experience in AI, ML tooling, data platforms, or SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of GenAI ecosystems-LLMs, multimodal data workflows, annotation tooling, and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Experience working with data operations, annotation platforms, or AI model training teams.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into user-centric product features.
• Experience using agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Linear, Notion).
• Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making and KPI ownership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Hands-on familiarity with APIs, dashboards, and annotation tools is a plus.
