Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Project & Product Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver high-impact airline product initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management processes, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business goals and airline partner requirements.

Technical Coordination:

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between our Global Distribution System (GDS) partners and airline partners.
  • Coordinate the integration of GDS, NDC, and LCC systems with the existing technology team.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability between various travel technology platforms.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including airline partners, technology vendors, and internal teams, to align project goals.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders.

Strategy & Innovation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in travel technology solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Advocate for best practices and drive digital transformation initiatives within the organization.
  • Lead the launch and integration of air content into RezLives platform, ensuring a smooth rollout and adoption among travel agents.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Manage issues and escalations in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, technical specifications, and status reports.
  • Deliver post-project analysis and recommendations to continuously improve processes.

Preferred candidate profile:

Industry Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product and/or project management within the travel industry.

Proven track record of managing complex travel technology projects, particularly involving GDS, NDC, and LCC systems.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong understanding of travel technology ecosystems, including airline reservation systems and distribution channels.

Experience working with APIs, integrations, and technical standards in the travel industry.

Project Management Skills:

Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) with certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred).

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Communication & Leadership:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong leadership and team management skills.

Additional Skills:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Familiarity with airline business operations and customer experience enhancement initiatives is highly desirable.
