Product Engineering Manager (Hardware + Software):

Product Engineering Manager

In this role you will have significant exposure to and engagement with the broader WDTS global business.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures end-to-end product architecture and requirements by coordinating with Product Management and Architecture teams.
• Ensures alignment between software, mechanical, and electrical.
• Ensuring integration readiness for each product milestone.
• Lead the design and implementation of the engineering function (hardware & software) within WDTS India.
• Improve and ensure adherence to engineering processes, governance standards, tools, and templates.
• Train and support teams in adopting engineering and product development processes.
• Ensure effective use of development, testing, tracking, and communication tools.
• Support the Management Team in prioritizing and assigning engineering work across teams.
• Communicate regularly with teams, stakeholders, and the broader business on activities, issues, and risks.
• Lead technical documentation, design reviews, and team collaboration.
• Track and update product activities, milestones, tasks, and change management systems.
• Support additional projects and tasks aligned with engineering capabilities.

Requirements:

• Resourceful, with strong problem-solving and resolution skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• 12+ years in hardware and software product development, with significant leadership experience.
• Strong process improvement and governance expertise.
• Experience managing stakeholders in a global, cross-functional environment.
