Job Title: Procurement Manager

Job Location: Kondapur - Hyderabad

Job Summary:

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services related to water treatment processes. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, and coordination with internal teams to support operational efficiency and business growth.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the water treatment or related engineering sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing procurement for industrial processes.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of water treatment materials, components, and technology.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the companys goals.
  • Identify and source materials, equipment, and services specific to water treatment systems, such as pumps, filters, chemicals, membranes, and control systems.
  • Stay updated on market trends, prices, and supply chain developments in the water treatment sector.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to ensure cost effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply and resolve issues promptly.

3. Cost Management:

  • Monitor and analyze procurement budgets to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Perform value analysis of procurement options to ensure optimal spending.
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

4. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with local, national, and environmental regulations related to water treatment processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure robust contracts and agreements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the engineering, operations, and project teams to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for inventory management and material tracking.
  • Support the sales team in tender submissions by providing accurate cost data.

6. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all procured materials and equipment meet specified technical and quality standards for water treatment applications.

• Address non-compliance issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
