Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for competitively sourcing Technology and non-technology products and services at or below market rates
  • Perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, and on-going management of the procurement strategy which achieves 3rd party supplier cost saving targets and also ease the process of procurement.
  • Maintaining all tracker related to procurement and sharing details with Management on timely basis
  • Projecting the estimated expenses for the next Financial year
  • Getting the best credit period on the product or the services which will be rendered by the Third party.

Key Accountabilities

Technical activities

  • Research, evaluate and compare products and services to determine which option best meets the organization needs and procurement strategy
  • Acts as a point of contact for the business for key procurement requirements for Pan India
  • Own the vendor contract negotiations
  • Negotiate price, contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and contractors
  • Process purchase orders and work with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favourable to the company
  • Ensure all aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to in regard to the respective procurement and government policies.
  • Manage and drive the vendor performance in terms of SLA, cost, quality on an ongoing basis.
  • Recommend and help create the frameworks used to manage vendor relationships, utilizing best practices and building an internal centre of excellence.
  • Work within the broader governance structures of the organisation to deliver and track savings activities

Relationship management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships, both for the vendors and the internal stakeholders.
  • Develop sound professional working relationships with the business, third parties and internal team across Pan India
  • Pro-actively drive supplier engagements to successful completion.

Experience and personal qualities

Essential

  • Graduate with 5+ years of experience in managing all procurement related processes including vendor management, requirements gathering, VRF / RFQ Rate contracts, liaising with e-procurement portals etc.
  • Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written technical English
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers across multiple geographies
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Result oriented with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
  • Knowledge of government guidelines governing enterprise level procurements
