Process Quality Engineer

Job Description – Process Quality Engineer / Manager Position: Process Quality Engineer / Senior Engineer / Manager Department: Quality / Manufacturing Excellence Industry: Automotive / Manufacturing Roles & Responsibilities Review and sustain SDCA cycle (Standardize–Do–Check–Act) to improve effectiveness in manufacturing processes. Build and strengthen a Quality Culture in the plant through effective auditing systems and compliance practices. Ensure execution of Mahindra Quality System (MQS) guidelines and reviews across manufacturing operations. Identify and evaluate risks of non-conformance during process execution and drive mitigation measures. Continuously assess scope for process improvements and process quality enhancements. Conduct process reviews and execution monitoring to ensure adherence to standards and best practices. Deploy Mahindra-specific guidelines such as QCRT, NOVA C, End Line Testing directly on production lines. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to manufactured products. Manage certification agencies effectively, ensuring smooth audits and approvals. Drive plant infrastructure improvements and process readiness to address future challenges. Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and standards. Hands-on knowledge of MQS, QCRT, NOVA C, End Line Testing (preferably in the automotive domain). Proficiency in process audits, risk assessment, and quality tools (FMEA, RCA, CAPA, 5 Why, etc.). Ability to manage certification and regulatory compliance effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Qualifications & Experience Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: 5–10 years in automotive quality, manufacturing process quality, or supplier quality functions. Experience in audits, compliance management, and quality culture building is preferred.
