Process Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Process Engineer – SPM Machine Assembly to develop, optimize, and manage assembly processes for Special Purpose Machines. The ideal candidate will work closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components during machine assembly. This role involves improving assembly line efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the build process.

Key Responsibilities:

*Plan and develop process workflows for the assembly of custom-built SPMs (Special Purpose Machines).

*Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and assembly checklists.

*Analyze existing assembly processes for cycle time, ergonomic design, tooling, and layout improvements.

*Coordinate with design teams to review drawings and provide feedback on manufacturability and ease of assembly.

*Select appropriate jigs, fixtures, and tools required for efficient assembly.

*Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing).

*Evaluate and implement process improvements to reduce lead time, rework, and cost.

*Work closely with electricians, fitters, and control engineers to ensure integration of mechanical and electrical systems.

*Support trial runs, debugging, and final testing of machines before customer dispatch.

*Maintain process records for ISO or internal audits and quality assurance. Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, BOMs, and P&ID diagrams.

*Hands-on experience in assembly, testing, or commissioning of special purpose machinery.

*Working knowledge of tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.

*Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and quality tools (FMEA, 5 Whys, etc.).

Working Conditions:

*Workshop / Shopfloor and office environment.

*Requires frequent physical presence in the assembly area.

*May involve occasional travel to client sites for installation or support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
